Introduction
The City of Decatur, in partnership with Decatur Morgan County Tourism, applied for the latest cycle of Neighborhood Access and Equity grants through the US Department of Transportation. The application titled, “Dr. Bill Sims Hike-Bike Way on the Singing River Trail,” will expand the existing Dr. Bill Sims Hike-Bike Way by 8.7 miles along the Riverfront and into Old Town Decatur, providing safety, access, and streetscape improvements.
