Department Functions / Responsibilities

The City of Decatur’s Public Information Liaison coordinates and executes communication activities including: design, development, and oversight of strategic communications, public and media relations, visual communications, and digital and online communications such as the City’s website and social media platforms.

The Public Information Liaison is responsible for all internal and external communications, along with public relations and media outreach.
