SALARY GRADE **   The City of Decatur compensation plan is based on an 18-step progression system. The following reflects the entry level potential in the assigned grade/range. **

 

$60,000 **A starting salary above the minimum point of the assigned range may be considered commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with the City’s pay administration policies** Compensation for internal promotions will be governed by the Merit System.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The experienced HR professional in this position will provide assistance and support as a seasoned Generalist in FMLA and Leave Management, EEO and Compliance investigations, recruitment, employee relations, development, and performance coaching, and compensation and benefits administration. Will also assist with policy development and HRIS deployment initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Human Resources Management; MS highly desirable
  • Ten or more years in a generalist capacity, with specific experience in leave management including FMLA, benefits and compensation, EEO and ethics compliance and investigations, employee development and performance coaching, HR policy review and development, and HRIS build and deployment.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP required.
